Peppermint

Latin Name: Mentha haplocalyx
(Pronounce in Mandarin Pinyin: Bo He)
A small plant whose leaves have a particular fresh smell and taste and has a wide range of uses in food and drinks. Spearmint, peppermint and applemint are subtler variants.Traditonally used in British cooking to go with lamb as mint sauce and on new potatoes. Mint also goes well in salads and with steamed fish. There are lots of types of mint, including applemint, peppermint and spearmint.
