Depression Diet

Depression is a mental illness involving your body, mood, and thoughts. Depression can occur to anyone in all groups, inclusing children. The symptoms of depression may vary from person to person, and also depend on the severity of the depression. Depression causes changes in thinking, feeling, behavior, and physical well-being. Sufferer of depression exhibit sadness and despair, low in spirits,and would even contemplate suicide.

Chinese physicians view depression and anxiety disorders caused by Liver Qi Stagnation. This mean when your liver gets overworked such as Loss, fear of loss, memory of loss, repressed expression, and other events that cause constraint in the chest, restraining the normal flows of Qi and blood in the central and upper body or it tends to get clogged up and performs sluggishly. In the West this is often called a congested liver. Chinese dietotheraphy is focuses on treatment to relieve stress on the liver or soothing the Liver Qi.
Internal Consumption: Licorice Peony Tea
Depression Diet
1) Licorice Peony Tea
 
Ingredients : a) 6g Licorice Root () GanCao
    b) 10g White peony () BaiShao
       
Method : 1) Infuse above ingredients with 400ml of boiling water for 15 minutes.
    2) Serve as regular drink.

Benefits:
