the top, which cooked whole an eaten as a
food. Corn is a general term used to any type
of grain, but in America it refers to maize.
Corn is usually yellow but can also be blue,
red, white, purple and orange. There are many
types of corn. Amongs are sweet corn, dent,
popping corn and etc. |

| Sweet Corn is eaten as a vegetable
either straight from the cob or the kernels
may be sliced off it. It can also be bought
frozen, in tin or creamed in tins. Baby cobs
are available for stir-fries. |

| Cornflour is a fine, white powder milled
from corn, and used to thicken sauces, custard
and in desserts such as blancmange. Also known
as constarch. |
