Common Leafflower Herb

(Pronounce in Mandarin Pinyin: Ye Xia Chu / Zhen Zhu Cao)
Latin Name: Phyllanthus urinaria L.
Common leafflower has been used for generations in China to promote elimination of gallstones and kidney stones, as immune system stimulator. It is known as "pearl herb" in Chinese as they have "pearls" look like seeds underneath the leaves. Research has indicated it helps soothes the liver, assists in repelling stones, helps to detoxify the liver and kidneys, provides relief for pain and inflammation and so on.
Nature: Cool
Channel of Meridians: Lungs and liver
Benefits: Remove dampness, cure jaundice, clear heat and relieve toxic, improve eyesight. Commonly used to treat jaundice due to damp-heat, diarrhea, stranguria, carbuncles, snake bite, painful conjuctival congestion, malnutrition in children.
