Boosting Immune System

The immune system protects the bosy from infection due to bacteria, viruses and other microbes. Allergic occur when the immune system over-reacts to a substance. Regular physical exercise and health diet strengthen the immune system whereas poor nutrition, alcohol, drugs and stress weaken it. Similar to Western medicine, TCM also holds that the body has its own disease defense ability due to the existence of healthy Qi or energy (ÕýÆø). When healthy Qi or energy is well stored inside the body, no evils or infections (Íâа) can cause interference or whenever the evils are gathered inside, a deficiency of healthy energy must be present. These statements imply that healthy energy is the body's natural resistance against disease, and disease is seen as the result of the disharmonious healthy energy within us.
Internal Consumption: Honey Suckle Flower With Red Bean
Boosting Immune System
1) Honey Suckle Flower With Red Bean
Ingredients : a) 15g Honey Suckle Flower () JinYinHua
    b) 30g Red Bean () HongDou
    c) 6 g Licorice Roots () GanCao
       
Seasoning : a) Some Rock Sugar to Taste () BingTang
       
Method : 1) Rinse red bean and Soak in water for an hour.
    2) In a pot, add in red bean with 1000ml of water and cook for 30 minutes.
    3) Add in honey suckle flower and licorice root and cook for another 5 minutes.
    4) Add some rock sugar to taste. Strain for tea.

It helps to boost immunity and strengthen your resistance against virus. It also benefits and heals tonsillitis, dry and aching throats as well as slight fevers.
