| A large round or long narrow red, green,
yellow, orange and, more rarely, white, purple,
blue, and brown fruit used esp. as a vegatables,
with a special, sometimes hot taste. Green
peppers are unripe bell peppers, while the
others are all ripe. Also known as capsicum.
