| Also known as mormodica fruit. Arphan
fruit is a brown-yellowish fruit that found
in the south of China. It is sweet and delicious
in flavour. The fruit's shape is said to imitate
the belly of a Buddha. Hence, its official
Chinese name is called "arphan fruit". Momordica
has been named, as "longevity fruit" in China
because it is believed that consumption of
momordica fruit will result in prolonging
life. |
